Thankyou – From The Trainers!

Sunday 11th March saw the culmination of 5 weeks training in the basic obedience exercises, taught with an obvious understanding of the concepts of dog learning by their hardworking owners! Aside from revision, we even made some time to work on one last exercise as we looked at different methods to bring the dog’s into the stationary heel position.

We can honestly say that not one team (and let’s face it – dog’s and their owners are very much part of a team) failed to make steady progress each week!

This hard work will continue to pay dividends as the owners all seem to possess the ability to continue with this training and will no doubt consolidate the exercises we have worked on (sit/stand/down/formal recall/heel position & social walking).

It was great to watch everyone work to their (and their dog’s) strengths, by trying different techniques and adapting as required.

Both groups were very different but extremely enjoyable to teach, with the Staffy brigade keeping the trainers on their toes.

Thankfully we always had Oscar, the Blue Heeler on hand to reprimand anyone who got too far out of line!

We also hope you all saw the improvements that we did over the weeks and more importantly we trust that your dogs (and you) enjoyed the classes.

We both look forward to catching up with those who wish to return and we will work hard to come up with a challenging but enjoyable program commencing on the 22 April. Happy Easter to everyone and hope to see you soon!

Warm regards,
