The Effects Of Diet On Dogs Behaviour
In Episode 3 of our podcast, we had the pleasure of speaking with Narelle Cooke, a seasoned Naturopath, Nutritionist, and Herbalist who specialises in treating not only humans but also their pet dogs. The episode delves into the impact of diet on a dog’s behaviour and how the food we feed our pets can significantly affect their overall health and wellbeing.
This topic is particularly relevant for pet carers and owners as stress levels in dogs can increase during changes in their environment, such as when they are boarding in a facility. While a certain level of stress is normal, it’s important to keep it at a minimum during these transitions. That’s where Narelle comes in, sharing her expertise on feeding programs, supplements, and lifestyle choices that can help ensure your dog is living its best life.
Narelle holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (with honours) from the University of Melbourne and has a decade of experience as a Research Pathologist. She then moved into Regulatory Affairs for a global pharmaceutical company, where she gained an in-depth understanding of the effects of pathogens, environmental toxins, and food production techniques on our food, bodies, and overall health. This knowledge led Narelle to pursue further qualifications in Naturopathy, Nutritional Medicine, and Western Herbal Medicine, including a Bachelor of Health Science, and to launch her career as a natural healthcare practitioner for both people and pets.
