What Our Customers Say
"I would 100% recommend PET Resort SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS I have a Saint Bernard who needs to be housed in airconditioned. Accommodation Pet resorts Southern Highlands ticks all the boxes . It is the only boarding facility that consistently returns her to me in the same condition as I gave her to them. She is always happy to be dropped off . Every other place she has dropped significant amounts of weight . She is washed and blow dried the day I pick her up . I get photos sent to me and updates. They are exercised in gorgeous country surrounds and you can not call them dog runs as it is all grass and trees. There is always the same staff so there is continuity. Anything you ask of them is never a problem . Saints tend to be needy and can be prone to fretting . This have never happened at the SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS Pet Resort She loves the staff, the accommodation and the surrounds .. what more could you ask for The first 4 photos were sent to me from her last stay at Southern Highlands Pet Resort January 2026"

"It was our first time leaving our rescue dog anywhere and we were nervous, (but we didn’t need to be) as Millie had the best time!! She came back so happy, well looked after, and the communication from the staff throughout her stay was great. An added bonus was we got to see her on social media, and seeing Millie doing her zoomies made us so happy. Thank you for looking after our girl so well and she’ll definitely be back ☺️"

"Wonderful care and attentiveness looking after our two beloved dogs! We felt so content entrusting the staff at Pet Resorts, Southern Highlands to look after our dogs whilst we were away especially as we had never previously used pet boarding. Thank you to Tahlia and the team. Our dogs look like they had the best time from the updates we received! We feel so confident to return for future dog boarding and can highly recommend their services."

Dog Boarding FAQs
We require all dogs to be up-to-date with their vaccinations, including protection against common canine diseases, to ensure the health and safety of all our guests.
Absolutely! We’d love to welcome you for a tour of our facilities. Tours are available by appointment—simply contact the resort location you’d like to visit to book a time. This way, you can see where your dog will be staying and meet some of our wonderful staff.
Our trained staff are able to administer medications to pets during their stay. To ensure we can meet your pet’s needs, please confirm medication requirements with the resort prior to booking.
All medications must be approved by our office team before check-in, and medication administration fees will apply.
More information about medical and aged care requirements can be found in our Boarding Terms.
We maintain a healthy staff-to-dog ratio to ensure each dog receives adequate supervision and care. The exact ratio varies depending on the number of dogs and their needs.
We provide nutritious and balanced meals, but you are welcome to bring your dog’s food, especially if they have specific dietary requirements. Please check the Boarding Terms for information on requirements for providing your dogs own food.
Dogs enjoy a variety of activities, including playtime in our spacious yards, socialisation with other dogs, and rest periods. We also offer enrichment activities for an extra charge.
Our Social rooms or packages (Executive and Presidential) are tailored towards friendly, well-socialised dogs who are happy sharing a spacious room with other dogs for the duration of their holiday with us, including overnight.
Please note, in some cases social boarding may not be suitable for your dog. Please read Does Private Accommodation Apply to My Dog? for more information.
We match all dogs in social accommodation with doggy friends of a similar age, size and temperament. All pets are monitored during the matching process by our trained staff who will ensure your dog is matched with their perfect new best friends for their holiday to enjoy play after play together.
If you’re unsure how your dog might go sharing space with other pups, we recommend starting with a short stay or a doggy daycare visit. This is a great way to see how your dog socialises and to make sure they feel comfortable in our environment.
If your dog is not so friendly with other dogs, or you’re just not comfortable having them sharing, we do have Private accommodation options available. These offer your dog their own private bedroom, outdoor recess breaks and enriched playtimes with our Pet Nannies.
Please let our Receptionists know of any existing behaviours that you are aware of at the time of your booking. This way we can assess and make arrangements to accommodate to suit your pet’s needs.
Private accommodation is available outside of school holiday periods for non-social dogs. Be sure to ask about our assessment days if you are not sure if your dog is social.
In the unlikely event that your dog attacks another dog and veterinary treatment needs to be sought, the owner of the attacking dog will be responsible for any veterinary service fees.
Pet Resorts Australia will not take any unnecessary risks with canine socialisation so we expect that owners will notify us of any behavioural issues they are aware of. Please make sure you have read all the Boarding Terms prior to booking.
At a few of our select resorts you can also speak with our on-site trainers who specialise in canine behaviour training programs.
If you have more specific questions or concerns, our friendly staff are always available to provide personalised answers and guidance.
Feel free to contact us us via phone, email, or in person at any of our locations.
Please make sure you have read all the Boarding Terms prior to booking.
If your pet's stay includes a pet postcard, or you've purchased one as part of our additional guest services, you will receive an email notification to alert you when it is ready to view. For more instructions on pet postcards, please visit our Pet Postcard Guide
